Page Conversation on Public Opinion Polling: Believe it or Leave it? (Session One)

In the aftermath of Election Day in the United States, public opinion polling came under fire for being off the mark….again, and arguably worse than before. What does that mean for a function that depends on an accurate read on the public’s perceptions and preferences?
Join us on Thursday, December 17, at 12 p.m. ET, for a Page Conversation on Public Opinion Polling: Believe it or Leave it? Together, we’ll talk about what the high profile 2016 and 2020 presidential polling inaccuracies indicate about the reliability of public opinion research, in business and politics. We’ll also take a broader look at the state of opinion research, how demographic, technological and other factors are affecting methodologies and what this portends for an era of extreme polarization.
Steve Cody, founder and CEO of Peppercomm, will lead this conversation, which will also feature insights from Sunil John, president of ASDA’A BCW, and Rob Jekielek, Managing Director of Harris Poll.
Then, we'll open up the floor for you to contribute your perspective, ask questions and share your thoughts on where communicators should go from here.
Page Conversations are virtual events that give Page and Page Up members a forum to discuss critical topics that are impacting their enterprises and the role of the CCO. Each Page Conversation will feature an interview with an expert, followed by a discussion among members conducted under Chatham House Rules. If you have any questions, please contact Natalie Martinez.
