Page Conversation on Detecting and Defending Against Disinformation

From the financial services industry to the political sphere, leaders globally are warning about the threat of disinformation and misinformation. As technology continues to advance and bad actors become more sophisticated, communicators and their teams need to be prepared for anything.
On Tuesday, June 29, at 12 p.m. ET, Page Up member Jim O’Leary, Americas corporate practice chair of Edelman will lead a conversation about why disinformation happens, what internal risk mitigation looks like and how to detect disinformation before it becomes a threat. He will be joined by:
- Jane Carpenter, global head of communications at Wayfair;
- Patrick Hillmann, executive vice president of crisis and risk at Edelman; and
- Sander van der Linden, professor of social psychology in society and director of the Cambridge Social Decision-Making Laboratory at the University of Cambridge
Page Conversations are virtual events that give Page and Page Up members a forum to discuss critical topics that are impacting their enterprises and the role of the CCO. If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Graney.
